A TIMETICKET in Banner is your assigned registration date, the first date you can actually attempt to register for a particular semester. All timetickets begin at 6:00 am on your assigned date and are then continuous until the established drop/add deadline for a particular semester. You can view your timeticket directly in Banner self-service (SSB) by following this path Student->Registration->Registration Status->Select a Term->SUBMIT.
Timetickets are determined by total credit EARNED. Credits are only EARNED when they have received a passing grade.
Your current semester's registered credit hours do not count toward completed, or EARNED credit hours in determining your timeticket assignment. Courses in progress are ATTEMPTED credits, and when you complete all successfully, only at that time they will be earned. There is no guarantee that all credits being ATTEMPTED will be passed and become EARNED credits.
All students are treated the same. No credits in progress, or being attempted, are able to be counted as credits earned for anyone.
University policy states that your class level is based on the credits you have earned.
Those who have priority registration on the first day were recommended by a vote of the University Senate, which has student representatives. The recommendations of the University Senate were then sent to the Buffalo State President who approves or disapproves the recommendation. All priority groups have been approved by past Buffalo State Presidents.
